Kitchens and kitchen diners come up more than any other room in JPL Paint Services reviews, and it's easy to see why. It's the room that takes the most punishment — steam, splashes, cooking grease and constant traffic — and the one you can least afford to have out of action for long.
A kitchen repaint needs a bit more thought than a bedroom. Surfaces need degreasing before anything else happens, the right paint has to go in the right place so it copes with moisture and wiping down, and the whole thing has to be planned so you can still get at the kettle and the fridge while it's going on. Cutting in around units, sockets, splashbacks and tiling is fiddly, slow work, and it's what makes the difference between a tidy job and an obvious one.
Walls, ceilings, woodwork and skirting all get the same treatment. Dining rooms and kitchen diners are handled the same way — sheeted down, worked through methodically and cleaned up each day.
